

Endocrinologist
Dr. Kenneth A. Woeber is an endocrinologist who sees patients in the Endocrinology Clinic at the Mount Zion campus and Thyroid Clinic at the Parnassus campus of UCSF Medical Center. He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in endocrinology and metabolism and is a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh.
A native of South Africa, he earned undergraduate and medical degrees at the University of the Witwatersrand. He went to the Harvard Medical Unit and Thorndike Memorial Laboratory for postgraduate training, later serving on the faculty at Harvard Medical School. His research addresses the transport and peripheral metabolism of thyroid hormone. He received the Van Meter Prize of the American Thyroid Association and served as chair of the subspecialty board of Endocrinology and Metabolism of the American Board of Internal Medicine. At UCSF, Woeber is a professor of medicine, an honorary member of Alpha Omega Alpha and a master cllinician in the Department of Medicine.
