W. Lawrence Drew is an active consultant in infectious diseases at UCSF Medical Center at Mount Zion. He directed the clinical microbiology laboratory at Mount Zion and is currently the director of the clinical virology laboratory at UCSF. He is the emeritus professor of both laboratory medicine and medicine at UCSF.
