

Pharmacist and tobacco treatment specialist
Lisa Kroon is a pharmacist and medical director of the Smoking Cessation Program at UCSF Medical Center. She also cares for patients in the medical center's adult Diabetes Clinic, Diabetes Teaching Center and adult Primary Care Clinic where she helps treat diabetes, chronic illnesses and tobacco dependence.
Kroon also teaches smoking cessation to pharmacy, medical and dental students at UCSF, preparing them to take an active role in tobacco treatment. Her primary research activities have been in the area of diabetes and smoking cessation. She is a professor of clinical pharmacy in the UCSF School of Pharmacy.
