Lisa Vail

Dr. Lisa Vail is a specialist in internal medicine who provides primary care. Her interests in patient care include assessing health; preventing disease and promoting wellness, including through diet and exercise; and treating obesity.

Vail earned her medical degree at the Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine. She completed internal medicine training at Duke University Medical Center and stayed on as an attending doctor in medicine.

Vail held several positions at Duke, including as an associate with the Duke Center for Living, where she focused on wellness and cardiac rehabilitation. From 1995 to 1998, she was medical director of Duke's diet and fitness program. In 1998, she joined Duke Executive Health, where she worked until 2007.
