
Arrhythmia nurse coordinator
Marilynn Namekawa Wong is an arrhythmia nurse coordinator who assists the electrophysiology team provide personalized, specialized care. Wong has extensive experience in caring for cardiology patients. She has worked in the Electrophysiology Service since 1990 as a clinical research nurse, coordinating the care of patients participating in research to test new treatments. In 1993, she became the first electrophysiology arrhythmia nurse coordinator.
Wong earned a nursing degree at UCSF, and has worked at UCSF in neurology, ophthalmology and pediatric services, as well as at Stanford Hospital's pediatric cancer ward.
