

Family medicine specialist
Dr. Michelle Tinitigan is a family medicine specialist at the UCSF Family Medicine Center at Lakeshore. She provides primary care to patients of all ages, ranging from newborns to seniors. Her expertise includes preventative medicine, treatment for chronic illnesses and prenatal and acute care.
In her research, she addresses chronic diseases such as back pain, cancer, depression, diabetes, obesity and substance abuse. She's a graduate of the University of Santo Tomas in the Philippines and completed a residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, where she was chief resident in Family Medicine. She is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, California Academy of Family Physicians, North American Primary Care Research Group and Society of Teachers in Family Medicine. She is an assistant clinical professor of Family and Community Medicine at UCSF.
