
Nurse
Monica Volz is a nurse who specializes in caring for patients with movement disorders. At the UCSF Surgical Movement Disorders Center, she educates and prepares patients who are undergoing deep brain stimulation (DBS) surgery and helps facilitate every stage of their care. Volz also serves as the research nurse coordinator for a multi-center long-term study of DBS and Parkinson's disease patients. She received her master's degree at San Francisco State University.
