Nina Balsamo is a social worker who counsels patients receiving bone marrow transplants. She helps patients cope with their diagnoses, and she advocates for their access to health insurance, disability benefits and other resources.
Balsamo earned a master's degree in social service, as well as a master of law and social policy degree, from the Bryn Mawr College Graduate School of Social Work and Social Research.
