Orlo H. Clark, M.D.

Endocrine surgeon

Dr. Orlo Clark specializes in endocrine surgery, thyroid cancer and other endocrine malignancies. He has a special interest in familial thyroid cancer and has been identified as one of the best endocrine and general surgeons in local, national and international publications as well as being listed in the publication Best Doctors in America.

Clark received both his undergraduate and medical degrees from Cornell University. He went on to complete his residency training at UCSF Medical Center, where he's been a member of the faculty since 1973. He is a past chair of the NCCN group for neuroendocrine tumors and a past member of the National Cancer Cooperative Network (NCCN) for thyroid cancer. Clark is also past-president of several professional organizations, including the American Association of Endocrine Surgeons, International Association of Endocrine Surgeons, American Thyroid Association and Northern California Chapter of the American College of Surgeons. He is board certified in surgery. He has helped educate and train over 150 fellows at UCSF.
