

Genitourinary cancer specialist
Dr. Phillip G. Febbo is a medical oncologist who specializes in genitourinary cancer. He is co-director of the Prostate Cancer Program at UCSF Helen Diller Family Comprehensive Cancer Center. In his research, he studies prostate cancer and applied genomics.
Febbo received a medical degree at the University of California, San Francisco and completed a residency in internal medicine at Brigham and Women's Hospital and a fellowship in medical oncology at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, both in Boston. He has won many awards including the American Society of Clinical Oncology, Young Investigator Award; CapCURE, Young Investigator Award; Prostate Cancer Foundation Award; and Department of Defense, Idea Development Award. He is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, American Association for Cancer Research and American Society of Clinical Investigation. He is an associate professor of medicine at UCSF.
