Geriatrician and palliative care physician

Dr. Natalie Young is a geriatrician and palliative medicine doctor who cares for adults with cancer or other serious illnesses. She helps patients manage their symptoms and treatment side effects, and discusses advance care planning with them.

Young's research interests include making comprehensive geriatric assessments part of routine cancer care for older adults and improving the care of patients living with dementia.

Young earned her medical degree at UCSF, where she also completed a residency in internal medicine. She completed a fellowship in geriatrics and palliative medicine at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.

Young enjoys spending time with her family, exploring the Bay Area and cooking.

    Dr. Referred us to a nutritionist a place to get a blood test and a therapist for strength. But we checked my chart on where we get the information to make an appointment with a therapist and nutritionist and didn't see anything. So we don't know how to find the nutritionist and therapist to make an appointment with.

    Again I was experiencing much pain and for a long time... This doctor made good recommendations regarding what to take for pain she wrote needed prescriptions and assorted some of my own efforts to deal with my pain.I am feeling much better and very very relieved.

    When my mom joined our video call Dr. Chen Young was superb in asking her a series of questions that accounted for her cognitive limitations and at the same time was truly cathartic for both of us. Dr. Chen Young was masterful in how she navigated between us to address our concerns.
