Dr. Rahmat Balogun is an occupational medicine specialist who cares for patients with conditions related to their work or workplace, including UCSF employees with such issues. She also specializes in integrative medicine, an approach to care that combines standard treatments with complementary therapies, such as yoga and other mind-body practices, nutrition, acupuncture and ayurvedic medicine (an ancient system that originated in India).

Balogun earned her medical degree at the New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed a residency in internal medicine at North Shore University Hospital and a fellowship in occupational and environmental medicine at UCSF. She is in the process of completing a fellowship in integrative medicine at UCSF. She also has a master of public health degree from the University of California, Berkeley and a master's degree in neuromusculoskeletal sciences from the New York Institute of Technology.
