Robert E. Kosnik

Dr. Robert Kosnik, a certified occupational medicine specialist in the U.S. and Canada, is director of the UCSF Occupational Health Program, overseeing services to maintain the health of employees and prevent the transmission of communicable diseases. Prior to joining UCSF, he provided occupational health services to a variety of industry sectors in Canada, including health care, for more than 20 years.

Kosnik earned his medical degree from the University of Toronto.

Kosnik has served as president of both the Occupational and Environmental Medical Association of Canada and Association of Occupational and Environmental Clinics. He also has chaired the examination committee in occupational medicine for the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
