Dr. Rosanna Wustrack is an orthopedic surgeon who specializes in diagnosing and treating patients with musculoskeletal tumors and fragility fractures (breaks that happen during normal activities because bones have become weak).

In research, Wustrack's interests include functional outcomes in cancer patients, osseointegration (bone growth that serves to secure a surgical implant) and optimizing treatment for patients when cancer has spread in the body. She also studies osteoporosis in cancer survivors as well as issues related to global health.

Wustrack earned her medical degree from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. She completed a residency in orthopedic surgery at UCSF and fellowship training in musculoskeletal oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.

    Twice my questions were not answered. She barely gave us medical information not a sentence extra. They changed the portal we worked so hard to set up into German. I can manage it but why do that for a demented person who reads nothing???

    Dr. Wustrack is an exceptional physician. Her warmth and caring are always evident. Plus she always allows time for me to go through my list of questions! And surgically she accomplished something that other surgeons thought was impossible. An all around amazing provider.

    Dr Wustrack was compassionate patient and accessible- she took the time to explain our son's condition treatment plan and prognosis. Though our son's condition was grave we felt fortunate and relieved to have found Dr Wustrack and to be in her care.

    Dr.Wustrack is the ONLY reason I put up with UCSFs continued administrative errors and horrible experience with my admission. She really cares about her patience. You can tell she has an abundance of empathy and is a wonderful doctor. UCSF is very lucky to have a doctor like her working for their organization.

    Dr. Wustrack is one of best doctors I've encountered at UCSF (and beyond). She actually listens to her patients takes the time to understand them and their issues and appears to genuinely care. She's a model to be emulated. I take it that she is also an extremely skilled surgeon!

    Dr and Assistant/Nurse were both excellent but I had to wait hours and I feel that the hospital should have called me at home in the morning when they realized there would be that long of a delay because it was a very early morning appointment and I would have preferred to have rested at home.

    Dr Wustrack has taken excellent care of me for the past 3 years. With my curent problem she saw me between OR cases scheduled tests and called me on her day off to talk about the tests. She is very proactive in treating me. I recommend her to anyone needing har services. I am very blessed to be her patient.
