Steven K. Polevoi, M.D.

Emergency medicine specialist

Dr. Steven Polevoi is medical director and quality improvement director of the Emergency Department at UCSF Medical Center at Parnassus. He earned a medical degree at the UCLA School of Medicine and completed a residency in emergency medicine at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center in Torrance.

In his research, Polevoi's interests include the study of patients who leave ERs without being seen by a doctor, utilization of emergency CT and MRI, and diagnostic errors and potential remedies. He is an associate clinical professor of Emergency Medicine.
