

Dermatologist, complex dermatology
Dr. Timothy Berger is a specialist in complex dermatology who treats patients with conditions such as autoimmune bullous disease, viral skin disease, sexually transmitted disease of the skin, skin diseases of the tropics, photosensitivity disorders, infectious diseases of the skin, warts and pruritus.
Berger was inducted into the UCSF Academy of Medical Educators, an honor bestowed on those dedicated to medical student teaching. In 1991 and 2001 he was awarded Teacher of the Year by the UCSF Dermatology Residents and in 1989 he was honored with the Henry J. Kaiser Award for Excellence in Teaching. Berger is a board member of the American Academy of Dermatology and has published more than 125 scientific articles, 12 book chapters and two books. He is a professor of clinical dermatology at UCSF.
