Naomi Jay is a women's health nurse practitioner who specializes in detecting human papillomavirus (HPV) in the anal canal. She helped pioneer use of the colposcope, a diagnostic tool for HPV-related diseases.

Jay participates in HPV-related research, examining the natural history of HPV-related anal disease in men and women, treatment studies using vaccines, infrared coagulation therapy (using infrared light to treat HPV lesions) and use of traditional Chinese medicine for HPV.

Jay earned her graduate degree in nursing, specializing in women's health, at the Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Professions.
