Dear UCSF Health Patients and Families,

UCSF Health is committed to being here for all of our patients, their families and our communities, especially during this challenging time. We are 15,000 physicians, nurses and staff strong – one of best health systems in the nation – working 24/7 to care for your health. Thank you for placing your trust in us.

COVID-19 has caused a major disruption to many people's lives including their health care, with mandated limits on hospital visitors, and delayed or cancelled appointments and procedures. Our priority continues to be providing high-quality, compassionate care to UCSF Health patients while keeping everyone safe.

Our caregiving teams are coordinating with local and national health departments and adding capacity in anticipation of more patients with COVID-19. Scientists at UCSF are actively working on better and more efficient ways of testing and treating COVID-19, as well as ultimately finding a vaccine.

On this web page, you can find important information about your care, including how we have prepared and what is different in how we must deliver care.

Many people have asked how they can help UCSF Health at this time. For some, it's donating stored personal protective equipment, or even giving philanthropically to UCSF Health, and for that, we are grateful. But the most important thing you can do for our organization right now is to shelter in place, wash your hands, and keep your social distance. The best gift you can ever give us is for you to be healthy.

Please let us know how we can better serve you. We welcome all feedback, which is so important to our ability to continue to improve the care we provide to you, your family and our community.
