Sasha Yamnik, MS, CNM


Sasha Yamnik is a nurse-midwife who specializes in low-risk pregnancy and birth. She leads centering pregnancy groups, which augment prenatal education, enhance engagement in the pregnancy journey and help families prepare for childbirth and parenting.

Yamnik has extensive training in Mindfulness-Based Childbirth and Parenting, a program that improves birth outcomes and decreases rates of postpartum depression. The approach includes mindful meditation techniques and methods of incorporating mindfulness into daily life, as well as the psychology of childbirth. She is passionate about using these skills in her practice.

Yamnik earned her bachelor's degree in nursing at St. Olaf College and her master's degree in nurse-midwifery at UCSF. She is a member of the American College of Nurse-Midwives.
