Amir M. Matityahu, MD

Orthopedic surgeon

Dr. Amir Matityahu is an orthopedic surgeon who specializes in treating complex pelvic fractures and pelvic reconstruction due to traumatic injuries, and caring for patients with multiple orthopedic injuries. He is developing minimally invasive surgical techniques to shorten recovery and return patients to regular activities more quickly.

Matityahu earned a medical degree at Hahnemann University Medical School in Philadelphia. He completed an orthopedic residency at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, N.Y., and an orthopedic traumatology fellowship at the University of Maryland's Adams R. Cowley Shock Trauma Center. His research focuses on the biomechanics of fracture fixation and the post-traumatic hip joint. He is a clinical professor of orthopedic surgery at UCSF.
