Cindy Tran, MD


Dr. Cindy Tran is a neonatologist, specializing in the treatment of critically ill newborns and premature infants. Her research focuses on Pseudomonas aeruginosa, a bacteria which is particularly lethal in the neonatal population. She is currently investigating the mechanisms of biofilm formation of pathogens at the epithelial barrier.

Tran completed undergraduate studies at Harvard University and earned a medical degree from Columbia University. Subsequently, she completed a pediatrics residency and then a fellowship in neonatology at UCSF, where she is currently an assistant adjunct professor of pediatrics in the School of Medicine.
