5 Ways We’re Keeping You Safe During COVID-19
Precautions in place at UCSF Health
-
Telehealth
We've opened hundreds of telehealth appointments so that our providers can see patients online for primary care, follow-up visits, mental health services, pain management, medication monitoring and other issues. In-person appointments are also available.
-
Prescreening and Testing
All patients coming to UCSF for surgical procedures, emergencies or appointments undergo prescreening and/or testing for COVID-19. We also require that all employees and individuals entering our hospitals and clinics be screened for symptoms.
-
Physical Distancing and Face Covering
We have implemented physical distancing to ensure a 6-foot distance from others, and require that anyone in a UCSF campus space wear a face covering at all times. We distribute face coverings upon entry as needed
-
Separate COVID-19 Units
We are using separate entrances, staff and respiratory units for COVID-19 patients. By isolating COVID-19 patients who need evaluation or hospitalization – with dedicated medical staff to provide care – we help protect everyone's health.
-
Infection Prevention
Our hospitals and clinics are cleaned and disinfected rigorously, following Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) infection prevention guidelines. Rest assured that surgeries are performed in a sterile environment, and our teams are dedicated to your health and safety.
