5 Ways We’re Keeping You Safe During COVID-19
Precautions in place at UCSF Health
-
Telehealth
We've expanded our time for telehealth appointments, so that our providers can see patients online for primary care, follow-up visits, mental health services, pain management, medication monitoring and many other issues.
-
Prescreening and testing
All patients who need to come to UCSF are prescreened – and in some cases, tested – for COVID-19. All employees and visitors entering our hospitals and clinics are screened for symptoms.
-
Masking and physical distancing
We've implemented physical distancing to ensure a 6-foot distance from others. We also require everyone in a UCSF facility to wear a face covering at all times, and we distribute masks upon entry, if needed.
-
Cleaning and disinfection
Our hospitals and clinics are cleaned and disinfected rigorously, in accordance with the infection prevention guidelines of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
-
Vaccination
Per UC policy, everyone who comes to work or study at a UC campus – including employees, vendors, students and volunteers – must show proof of being fully vaccinated against COVID-19, except in cases of an approved exemption or deferral.
