Kidney transplant nurse

Elizabeth Wayne is an outpatient post kidney transplant nurse practitioner whose primary goal is to optimize renal function and overall survival of kidney transplant recipients in the first several months and long term. Wayne treats post-kidney transplant patients and patients with combined kidney-pancreas, kidney-liver and kidney-heart transplants. In her work, Wayne focuses on immunosuppression and infectious disease, as well as patient education.

Wayne earned her nursing degree from the UCSF School of Nursing, where she is also a volunteer faculty member, and completed several community practicums in primary care and psychiatry. She is a member of the American Nurses Association and the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases.
