Encouse Golden, PhD, MD

Radiation oncologist

Dr. Encouse Golden is a radiation oncologist who specializes in treating tumors of the central nervous system, including brain and spinal tumors, and tumors that have spread to the brain and spine.

Golden helped pioneer the use of radiation therapy to treat tumors of the central nervous system. His research investigates personalizing radiation therapy to create vaccines against individual patients' tumors.

Golden earned his medical degree at the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California, where he also earned a doctorate in pathobiology, which focuses on the biological aspects of why and how disease develops. He then completed a fellowship in radiation biology and a residency in radiation oncology at the New York University School of Medicine.
