Jocelyn Chang, PT, DPT

Physical therapist

Jocelyn Chang is a physical therapist who specializes in working with people who have orthopedic conditions. She takes a holistic approach and believes that prevention is as important as treatment in health care. Her practice includes education, exercise, manual therapy and movement retraining.

Chang developed a passion for physical therapy after her own experiences as a patient rehabilitating from sports-related injuries. Her research and clinical interests include movement reeducation, post-operative care and shoulder injuries among swimmers.

Chang earned her doctorate of physical therapy at the University of Southern California. She then completed a residency in orthopedic physical therapy at Stanford Health Care. She also has a bachelor's degree in public health from the University of California, Berkeley.

In addition to treating patients, she assists in the classroom for UCSF's doctorate of physical therapy program and has served as a clinical instructor for physical therapy students. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, camping, traveling and playing music.
