John Logan

Technical director of Vascular Laboratories

John Logan is technical director of the UCSF Vascular Laboratories of the UCSF Medical Center hospital and the UCSF Ambulatory Care Center. He oversees the daily operation of the two labs and works with Dr. Michael Conte, medical director, to develop and refine testing procedures and policies, to document the accuracy of results and explore ways to improve service to patients and the doctors who refer them to UCSF.

Prior to joining UCSF, Logan was technical director of the Noninvasive Vascular Laboratory at the Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center in Baltimore, Md. He began his training in vascular testing in the early 1980s when the role of vascular technologists first emerged and was one of the first 300 nationally accredited vascular technologists in the country. He is a member of the Society for Vascular Ultrasound and the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers.
