Lauren Gannon, MD


Dr. Lauren Gannon is both an internal medicine physician and a pediatrician. She provides primary care services to adults and children, and enjoys working with patients to help them make manageable lifestyle changes to improve their overall health. Her areas of interest include HIV, preventative medicine, health care disparities and international health.

Gannon completed a medical degree at Wayne State University in Detroit, Mich., followed by a combined residency in internal medicine and pediatrics at the University of California, San Diego.

Before coming to UCSF, Gannon spent five years working in community health in San Diego, caring for immigrant and refugee patients from all over the world. During her time there, she also earned her certification to practice HIV medicine and worked with residents in a new community family medicine residency program.

Gannon is an assistant clinical professor of family and community medicine at UCSF. She belongs to the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American College of Physicians.

Dr. Gannon is currently accepting new adult and pediatric patients.
