Liane Abrams, LCGC, MS

Genetic counselor

Liane Abrams is a licensed certified genetic counselor at the Cancer Risk and Prevention Program at UCSF's Mount Zion campus, as well as the satellite clinic in Pleasanton. Abrams specializes in genetic counseling for inherited cancer syndromes but also has extensive experience in pediatric genetics, with a special interest in fragile X-associated disorders. She was previously a genetics counselor at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital Oakland and a genetic specialist at the National Fragile X Foundation.

Abrams completed her B.S. in molecular biology at San Jose State University, and received a M.S. in genetic counseling at the University of California, Berkeley. She is an adjunct professor in the Master of Science in Genetic Counseling Graduate Program at California State University, Stanislaus.
