Lisa Kroon, PharmD

Pharmacist and tobacco treatment specialist

Lisa Kroon is a pharmacist and co-director of the Fontanta Tobacco Treatment Center at UCSF Medical Center. She also cares for patients in the medical center's adult Diabetes Clinic, Diabetes Teaching Center and adult Primary Care Clinic where she helps treat diabetes, chronic illnesses and tobacco dependence.

In the UCSF School of Pharmacy, Kroon is a professor and chair of the Department of Clinical Pharmacy and a . She teaches smoking cessation to pharmacy, medical and dental students at UCSF, preparing them to take an active role in tobacco treatment. Her primary research activities have been in the area of diabetes and smoking cessation.
