Genetic counselor

Miya Frick is a genetic counselor at the UCSF Cancer Genetics and Prevention Program at Mount Zion. She received her B.S. in biology from San Francisco State University, and her master's degree in genetic counseling at California State University, Stanislaus. While completing her master's degree, she investigated the usefulness of screening certain breast tumors to identify features that could be suggestive of a hereditary cancer syndrome, known as hereditary non-polyposis colorectal cancer syndrome.
