Pei Chen, MD


Dr. Pei Chen is a geriatrician at the UCSF Center for Geriatric Care and an assistant professor of geriatrics in the Division of Geriatrics. She is dedicated to promote healthy aging and care for older adults with complex medical conditions and geriatric syndromes, such as fall, frailty, delirium and dementia. She has expertise in the coordination of patient care, and has a special interest in finding ways to improve geriatric care through quality improvement initiatives and education.

Prior to joining UCSF Medical Center, Chen completed her residency in internal medicine, primary care track, at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, a Harvard Medical School teaching hospital in Boston, Mass. She then completed a two-year geriatrics fellowship at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City, where she also served as a chief fellow.
