Dr. Laura Crocitto is a urologist who specializes in oncology.

In research, Crocitto is interested in the use of molecular markers – molecules in blood or tissues that can indicate abnormality – for early detection of prostate cancer.

Crocitto earned her medical degree at the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California. She completed a residency in urology and a fellowship in urologic oncology at Los Angeles County + USC Medical Center. She also has a master's degree in health administration from the University of Southern California. She is a member of the American Urological Association and Society of Urologic Oncology.

    I came to UCSF a long ways based on the institution's reputation. The Dr was very patient and explained ALL my choices to treat my cancer. After dealing for months of what I would describe as a fairly horrible experience with a local urologist ( luckily I have a WONDERFUL primary care Dr!) she was such a relief! Finally I felt in good hands!

    Dr. Crocitto showed me the areas of concern in the MRI image and explained how normal prostate appears.

    Not satisfied with the Initial MRI scheduling where Ucsf has low priority in scheduling BPH patients.

    Dr. Crocitto was considerate of my privacy letting me know about the wireless scribe device and also offered the presence of a 2nd observer before examination. She was objective and thorough in explaining the procedures and sequence of options for exploratory diagnosis. She answered all my questions during the appointment.
