Curt Ries



About me

Dr. Curt Ries has been a hematologist on the UCSF faculty since 1972, and he directed the hematology-oncology faculty practice until 2001. He continues to care for patients with blood disorders on a part-time basis in the hematology and bone marrow transplant clinics.

Ries earned his medical degree at the University of Rochester School of Medicine & Dentistry. He completed a residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in hematology at UCSF.
