About me

Dr. Dana Gossett cares for patients needing obstetric or gynecologic care, and she staffs the labor and delivery unit at UCSF's Mission Bay campus. She has particular interests in pediatric gynecology and mental health disorders during pregnancy and after delivery.

Gossett conducts research on mental health disorders during and after pregnancy. She also studies obstetric perineal trauma (vaginal or rectal area injuries that may occur during childbirth) as well as physician compliance with evidence-based practice guidelines.

Gossett received her medical degree from the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. She completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. She also has a master's degree in clinical investigation from Northwestern University.

Gossett is a member of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and Society for Academic Specialists in General Obstetrics and Gynecology.
