Frederico G. Rocha



Dr. Frederico Rocha is a perinatologist, a doctor who specializes in high-risk pregnancies, prenatal diagnosis of disorders or complications, and the use of ultrasound. He performs chorionic villus sampling and amniocentesis, prenatal tests to screen for genetic abnormalities.

In research, Rocha focuses on surgical critical care, improving the safety and quality of care for critically ill pregnant women.

Rocha earned his medical degree from the Federal University of Minas Gerais in Brazil. He completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Michigan State University's Hurley Medical Center and a fellowship in maternal-fetal medicine at the University of Hawai'i. He then completed a fellowship in surgical critical care at Wayne State University.

Rocha is a member of the Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine, Society of Critical Care Medicine and American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
