Dr. Jessica Schulte is a neuro-oncologist, a specialist in treating cancers of the brain and spinal cord. She cares for adults and adolescents with brain and spinal cord tumors, and neurofibromatosis (a genetic disorder that causes tumors in the nervous system).
In research, Schulte's interests range from characterizing genetic mutations in tumors to optimizing the transition when patients move from pediatric care to adult care. She has a special interest in molecular diagnostics and targeted therapies and helping patients find appropriate clinical trials.
Schulte earned a doctorate in developmental neurobiology at Northwestern University and her medical degree at Northwestern's Feinberg School of Medicine. She completed a residency in neurology at Columbia University Irving Medical Center, serving as chief resident in both adult and pediatric neurology. She completed a fellowship in neuro-oncology at UCSF.
