Accepting new patients

Dr. Jonathan Chiang is a family medicine specialist who provides primary care for adults and children. He has particular interests in musculoskeletal medicine and how social factors affect health. Chiang incorporates osteopathic manipulative medicine into his practice, hands-on techniques such as pressure, resistance and stretching. He believes the ability to move without harmful restriction of anatomic structures is a key component of a healthy functioning body.

A Bay Area native, Chiang is passionate about serving the community where he grew up. He pursued family medicine because he wants to treat the entire patient. He focuses on promoting healthy lifestyles, preventing disease and collaborating with his patients on their care.

Chiang earned his medical degree from Touro University College of Osteopathic Medicine in California. He completed a residency in family medicine at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV). During his residency, he served as principal investigator on a study evaluating the prevalence of depression among southern Nevada residents with poor access to health care. He also researched how to improve vaccination rates among senior citizens in the area. Finally, he co-founded a student-run free clinic for uninsured adolescents and young adults, and he served as a medical provider for UNLV Division I Athletics and Special Olympics Nevada.

Chiang belongs to the American Academy of Family Physicians.
