About me

Dr. Marika Russell an otolaryngologist, a specialist in disorders of the ears, nose, throat and related structures. She has particular expertise in thyroid and parathyroid surgery, including performance of ultrasound to help diagnose conditions of the head and neck.

Russell's research interests include outcomes and disparities in patients treated for cancerous and noncancerous conditions of the head and neck.

Russell received her medical degree from Columbia University. She completed a residency in otolaryngology at UCSF.

Russell is a member of the National Ultrasound Faculty, American Academy of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery, American Head and Neck Society, and American Thyroid Association. She is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. She is also a national leader in educating other physicians in head and neck ultrasound.
