About me
Dr. Michael Snavely provides comprehensive family- and community-oriented primary care. He has particular interests in gender-affirming care, reproductive health and racial health equity.
Snavely's research has focused on eliminating race-based medicine, which can lead to worse outcomes for patients of color by considering race as a biological rather than a social factor. He has published on hormone therapy for gender-affirming care as well as on social determinants of health.
Snavely earned his medical degree from Washington University in St. Louis. He completed a residency in family and community medicine at UCSF.
