Dr. Niraj Sehgal specializes in the delivery of comprehensive medical care to hospitalized patients. He focuses on the teamwork and communication required to ensure care of the highest quality. He is vice president and chief quality officer for UCSF Health.
Sehgal's academic interests focus on improving health care systems by leading and evaluating initiatives that foster teamwork and communication, promote a culture for learning and improvement, and support workforce development. He examines these endeavors as key strategies for delivering better patient outcomes.
Sehgal earned his medical degree at Rush Medical College. He completed an internal medicine residency at Stanford Medicine, followed by an internal medicine fellowship at Stanford Prevention Research Center.
