Dr. R. Krishna Chaganti is a rheumatologist who cares for patients with osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis.

In her research, Chaganti studies risk factors associated with developing osteoarthritis of the hip, predictors of joint plastic surgery and factors associated with increased disability due to osteoarthritis.

Chaganti earned her medical degree and completed a residency in internal medicine at Temple University. She completed a rheumatology fellowship at the Hospital for Special Surgery, part of Weill Cornell Medical College. She also completed a master of public health degree at Columbia University's Mailman School of Public Health. During her fellowship, she received a physician-scientist development award from the American College of Rheumatology to support her research on risk factors for hip osteoarthritis.
