About me

Dr. Sarah Sedki is a palliative care physician who treats seriously ill patients both in the hospital and at the UCSF Helen Diller Family Comprehensive Cancer Center. She specializes in managing symptoms such as pain, shortness of breath, nausea, fatigue and anxiety. Her primary goal is to improve the quality of life of her patients and their families by addressing their physical, psychological and spiritual needs.

Sedki received her medical degree from the Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons at Columbia University. She then completed a residency in internal medicine at New York–Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center, followed by a fellowship in palliative care at UCSF.

Sedki is a member of the Society of Hospital Medicine and American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine.
