Taylor Tomlinson


Family physician

Dr. Taylor Tomlinson is a family practice doctor who provides comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages. She specializes in contraceptive management, prenatal care, preventive care and addiction medicine.

Tomlinson earned her medical degree from the University of Nevada School of Medicine with a scholarly concentration in clinical ethics. She completed a residency in family and community medicine at the University of New Mexico (UNM). After her residency, Tomlinson continued working for UNM, providing health care to all ages, in addition to treating adolescents at a high school–based clinic. She also taught resident physicians in maternity care and worked with a prenatal care clinic for women with substance abuse problems.

After moving to San Francisco, Tomlinson worked for Haight Ashbury Free Clinics before joining UCSF. She is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians.
