Erin Matsuda

Erin Matsuda directs the UCSF Fetal Treatment Center, which cares for patients with birth defects. She focuses on the center's operations and workflow to ensure patients have access to the clinic and receive services in a timely manner.

Matsuda's research focuses on identifying patient care provided by nurse practitioners and assessing this contribution for payments systems based on value of care.

Matsuda earned undergraduate and master's degrees in nursing from the University of Hawai'i at Mānoa. She then completed a doctor of nursing practice degree at Samuel Merritt University.

Matsuda is a member of the California Association for Nurse Practitioners and American Telemedicine Association.

Growing up in Hawaii, Matsuda always wanted to work at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital. After working in Hawaii for years, she and her husband moved to San Francisco, where she is thrilled to fulfill that dream.
