Fizaa Ahmed is a senior clinical research manager in the UCSF Interstitial Lung Disease Program.

Ahmed earned an undergraduate degree in psychology from the University of California, Davis. She is responsible for a portfolio of 17 research studies on interstitial lung disease, supervising the team of research coordinators and data managers that runs them. She also handles the regulatory aspect of these studies, including submissions to the Committee on Human Research.

Having served in clinical research for a decade, I love seeing the scientific method – the driving force and crux of discovery – through every stage.
