Kristopher Jackson is a nurse practitioner who cares for adolescents and adults with benign or malignant bone or soft-tissue tumors, as well as conditions similar to tumors. Jackson assesses and diagnoses new patients referred by their primary care or specialist providers. He determines whether they need advanced imaging, a biopsy or a referral, such as to a medical oncologist, an orthopedic surgeon for surgery or an interventional radiologist for minimally invasive image-guided treatment. He helps manage care before and after surgery, coordinates care with specialists and monitors patients' tissue abnormalities over time to ensure treatment is provided when needed.
Jackson earned his master's degree in nursing at Jefferson College of Nursing. A Hearst Foundation scholar, he is working toward a doctor of philosophy degree in nursing at the University of New Mexico College of Nursing.
