About me

Lizbeth Gibson is a neurosurgical nurse practitioner who cares for patients undergoing surgery for peripheral nerve pain. She also cares for patients who use surgically implanted neuromodulation devices, such as spinal cord stimulators and intrathecal pumps, to treat chronic neurological pain.

In addition to her work with patients, Gibson assists with research on treatments for various chronic pain syndromes.

Gibson earned a bachelor's degree in nursing from Capital University, followed by a master's degree in nursing from UCSF. Previously, Gibson worked in UCSF's intensive care unit as a registered nurse. She has also worked as a nurse practitioner at the California Center for Pituitary Disorders and in UCSF's inpatient liver transplant service.

Gibson is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. In her free time, she enjoys running and traveling.
