About me

Stephanie Filson is a nurse practitioner who cares for patients receiving treatment for cancer. She strives to take a team approach that includes not only doctors and nurses but also patients and family members.

After earning a master's degree in nursing at the University of San Francisco, Filson worked as an oncology nurse for seven years. She then trained as a nurse practitioner at UCSF and completed her clinical training at Stanford Medicine, UCSF and Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma Center.

Filson is a member of the Advanced Practitioner Society for Hematology and Oncology and the California Association of Nurse Practitioners.

An avid rock climber, hiker, traveler and skier, Filson loves spending time outdoors with her family. Mom to a boy and girl who are twins, she is also active in a local group for parents of twins.
