Rosie Krauter, RN, MSN, NP

Nurse practitioner

Rosie Krauter is a nurse practitioner in Otolaryngology — Head and Neck Surgery who specializes in the treatment of patients with ear, nose, throat, head and neck problems. She is interested in ear issues including unilateral sensory hearing loss, cochlear implant in single-sided deafness and vestibular disorders. She has contributed to research in genetic mutations related to sensory hearing loss and stem cell regeneration of inner ear hair cells.

Krauter obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in microbiology from UC Santa Barbara, and Bachelor of Science and Master of Science nursing degrees from Columbia University School of Nursing, with a subspecialty in clinical genetics and Sigma Theta Tau honors. She is nationally board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.

Prior to joining the UCSF team, Krauter worked at the Stanford Ear Institute. Outside of clinical practice she has volunteered with Global ENT Outreach on medical missions to Phnom Penh, Cambodia, and with Columbia Student Medical Outreach, which provides medical care to the uninsured of New York City.
