Sandra Weinberg

Social worker

Sandra Weinberg, a living donor advocate, thrives on connecting and communicating with others and works diligently to help potential living donors make a fully informed decision about being/choosing to be a living organ donor. Weinberg has 30 years of experience as a social worker in a variety of settings, including community mental health in Australia, the San Francisco AIDS Foundation, the Veterans Administration's San Francisco Women's Clinic and Hospice By the Bay. She is currently working on validating a living donor assessment tool and is interested in the postoperative psychiatric symptoms for living organ donors.

Weinberg earned her master's degree in social work at La Trobe University in Melbourne, Australia.
